PERADATA INTRODUCES
RAIL MOUNTED SURGE SUPPRESSORS
FOR FACTORY DATA NETWORKS
For Immediate Release ...
Ronkonkoma, New York: Peradata Technology Corporation has announced its Series
600 rail-mounted data line surge suppressors. Models 610 and 611 are designed
for protection of factory data communication networks operating at up to
20Mbits/sec.
Model 610 provides common mode and differential mode surge protection for
2 wire, balanced networks such as RS422 and RS485. This model can also be
used with PROFIBUS devices.
Model 611 provides common mode surge protection for two ground-referenced
data lines such as RS232.
These models can be mounted on standard DIN rails. Connections are made with
integral screw terminals. Both models feature high-speed transient response
(in nanoseconds) and quick, automatic recovery after each surge. Surface
mount component technology provides wide surge conducting paths and low ground
impedance for robust suppression performance.
Each model features a three-stage surge suppression network, employing a
gas tube stage and 2100 watt rated avalanche diode suppression devices for
each data line. These models feature Peradata's VSET circuitry which directs
the positive and negative surge energies to separate suppression circuits.
In addition, Model 610 provides an additional stage of differential mode
surge protection between the data lines.
Retail prices for single quantities are US$70.50 for Model 610 and US$68.00
for Model 611. Delivery is 2 weeks ARO. Dealer and distributor inquiries
are invited.
